“Help us,” they cry. But no one comes!
Friends, last night, with Bush still in power, Israel launched air attacks on the Gaza Strip using F16s and Apache helicopters. It’s like Jenin all over again, only Gaza is hundreds of times bigger and over 1.5 million Palestinians live there.
Using ‘shock and awe’, Israel has begun its plan to annex the Gaza Strip and get rid of those who rightly live there either by killing them or pushing them into the surrounding deserts. Over 220 Palestinians have been killed already and 700 are injured (one Israeli has been killed). The ‘might’ of Israel has been unleashed as Olmert promised. The insatiable fox is in the hen house. And the ‘operation’ has just begun!
What seems to be merely a local conflict has already got the whole world buzzing. The West is urging Israel to show restraint but, as usual, is doing nothing to stop the Israeli barbarity. The Arab World is in a frenzy of condemnation and talking about U.N. resolutions which will have the usual effect: none!
I have real concerns for where this will go. Is Bush involved here? Is he intending to stay on as President claiming that the world situation is now too dire to change Commanders in Chief? Is this an attempt by Israel to further its imperial ambitions before Obama takes office? If it is, then expect the nuking of Iran to take place shortly.
Is it part of a conspiracy by Big Business, the Armament industries and the Robber Barons to get another war going so that the world economy can receive a quick shot in the arm, get those factories churning out tanks and fighter jets and explosives day and night?
Is it part of a plan by America to stir the Middle East pot so that it can attack Iran and further its own imperialist ambitions and get control of more oil? Is America well aware of the furor that the attack will cause in the Muslim world, especially in Pakistan where its relations with India are already badly strained? Will America use this as an excuse to ‘grab’ Pakistan’s nukes or invade it? Is it really a Zionist plot to take over the world using America’s love of war and violence? The questions are many and we, the people, will never know what those in high places are planning! We are merely the cannon fodder.
This attack which I’ve been expecting has many ramifications. Regardless, the dominoes have begun to fall.
I greatly fear the outcome!

If I did not mention earlier, Rand just came out with a report calling for another major war to help the economy. You know, parasites is too mild a word for these illuminati, Bilderberger crowd, jewish mafia, corrupt profiteers, etc, VULTURES is better. Interestingly, Scott Horton at http://www.antiwar.com has a radio interview, still on its webpage today, proving that war does not improve a capitalist country’s economy, that war was not the reason the USA recovered from the depression. Can you believe we humans would even have such a discussion? No wonder I hid out in convent for awhile.
I cannot thank you enough for these photographs of the Gaza men being mortor attacked after nearly being starved first. I hope others will pass them to other sites. This is not a world in which I want to live.

Obama announced that he would be sworn in on Abraham Lincoln’s Bible. Lincoln fought the Banksters. Lights out for Obama was I am sure not comforting. I will continue to hope, isn’t it all we have?

I think that Obama is using the Lincoln Bible as a gesture for Illinois pride, to salute that slavery is now illegal, and to give himself stature. I have no hope in his coming administration.

David, I’ve had the same feeling about the chimp evoking executive powers and not relinquishing control of the white house. They still have twenty-four more days to wreak havoc on society. Now, if the chimp does maintain control of the white house, how do you think the people in the US will respond? Why would Cheney admit in an interview to authorizing torture unless he had no plan to relinquish his position? I’ve read that there is a group of international lawyers that are just waiting for the chimp and his handler to leave office in order to procede with an indictment for war crimes. If this is true the best of luck to them. If they stay in office, we’ll need all the luck we can muster.
I had a conversation with a co-worker earlier tonight that reinforced the idea of religeous indoctrination. I told him I couldn’t believe what the Israeli’s were doing in Gaza and he just laughed and told me it is all proficied in the Bible. He’s a very Godly man by the way, church going, deacon kind of person. I looked at him and said, “you must be joking?!” Then he started going all Osteen on me and telling me about God and his chosen people. I knew there would be no way to get him to see any other view point except for that of the church. I never thought about how hard it would be to get people to understand humand decency and moral fortitude over religeous indoctrination. As the old folks say, “this will be a hard nut to crack.”
I wonder if the people who think this way will be dancing around the rosies just before they see the flash!

Ralphe, as I said, religious belief is equivalent to derangement. Serious believers live in a constant fantasy world, one peopled by gods and angels and Satan and Heaven and Hell and grand visions of eternal life after death for selected people, namely them!
Religion defies intelligence. The Israelis would claim to be religious. You see them fervently bobbing at the Wailing Wall. They relish killing especially when they have an overwhelming military advantage. They remind me of another nation.
Wonder which one I mean?

Appreciate hearing about your conversation, RalphE, and isn’t is just so appalling to see the religionist get all awe struck about the Bible saying that such horrors would happen instead of actually considering the gore and murder of children you are trying to discuss, and how the two of you should react IN THIS WORLD. I mean, Johnny on the spot, I have had them just go all authoritative and like being in a trance thinking about such endtime catastrophe. Wheh. It leaves me almost shaking.
I so appreciate the first paragraph of your reply, David G, which helps me contemplate, and hopefully deal,with such serious believers. Usually when they give that kind of answer, I start looking for the exit, and most graceful way to get away from that raptured individual, who sometimes even look around for their Bible, to find that passage. A note on indoctrination.
As with Pavlov’s dog, what the dog can learn, he can ‘unlearn’.
As an example, I bought this shop three years ago. with it came a host of groupies and hangers. Some young, always wanting something for nothing. Some older, intelligent and eager to be helpful and pleasant. Most have gone, moved on to their lives somewhere else as talking with me is a chore when I get on my soapbox.
One man, however, has stuck it out. He is a man I call a friend. He first came to this shop to talk religion. I have a background and some studies in mythology, so talking with this man about the historical accuracies he saw in the bible was a pleasure most times.
Of course, any mention of evolution and the conversation was over. So we avoided that.
For two years we discussed the latest archaeological evidence to make it’s way to mainstream articles. Always, he was intrigued that a self-proclaimed “god” could talk about religious matters as a serious matter. And always, I would remind him gently, that the evidence proved only that the ancient story tellers used the geography they knew when writing their stories.
He has a deep interest in getting to the truth of Sept. 11, 2001, as his son was one who narrowly escaped with his life. One who’s testimony was not included in the 9/11 commission report so I’ve always been able to get him to watch programs on this matter. And, after his own research kept leading him towards the sciences that his dogmatic belief in that purely political construct, Jesus Christ, had told him was false and misleading, he guiltily watched a program called Zietgeist about 9/11.
The general moral, intellectual, and cultural climate of an era; Zeitgeist is German for “time-spirit.” For example, the Zeitgeist of England in the Victorian period included a belief in industrial progress, and the Zeitgeist of the 1980s in the United States was a belief in the power of money and the many ways in which to spend it.
This movie gave him the courage to open his mind and really start to soar.
To make this shorter, three years later, he is no longer associated with christianity. In fact, he is in his infancy researching a new deep interest in quantum physics. Granted, at this point in his evolution, he has married his new-found interest with aspects of his former beliefs, but this just goes to show that he is capable of change the same way he was indoctrinated.
Religion isn’t a disease. It’s an instinct, coupled with associated emotions, that most humans have lost control of. They are all capable of learning the truth about this Universe and the truth is that all things tend towards an equilibrium, a balance. Maybe the Taoist’s were closer to truth than any other dogma?
Right now we are on a pendulum swinging from one extreme to the next. I enjoy the idea that I can say something that will send someone on a journey of self-discovery. That, I suppose, is why I’ve been black-balled by the jehovah’s witnesses. These are the people that I want to reach, the ones who need to be reached, and if they are coming to my house they are my guests and they get to listen to me muwhahahahaha.
With nothing more than peer pressure due to the constant bombardment of lies bought by the gullible, they’ve changed the mindset of an entire half of this world to lose control of itself individually and collectively. We can change that. We must change that.
As for this latest attack by israel, I believe it’s for nothing more than to punish the goyim jews(oxymoron I know) that never left. They aren’t really interested in that little strip of land as they already control it with their incursions of ‘civilians’ moving into constructed neighborhoods in contested territory, their billions in ‘aid’, their tanks and ‘smart bombs’.
No, the promised land for the zionists is first, the u.s., the the ME, then no less than the world.

Seems I remember reading of people doing just that to ‘witches’ in the 17th century… no time like the present to break the cycle.
Your neighbors around the world are not your enemies. The Jew, the German, the Korean, the Ozzy, the American, the Canadian, the Darfuran, the south African… all just names for geographic orientation. We are all people who need awakening.
We have to stop buying the lies and realize that the true enemy is the global, imperialist, elitist, scum trying to make order in their own little world by forcing disorder on us. We have to unite, one and all, to swing the pendulum back this way a bit.
And maybe, just maybe, there’s a Socrates amongst us, that will teach us the truth before we allow them to make him/her drink hemlock?

From birth, people, US being the best example, are taught to be slaves/servants of the “government”. Some worship it, it takes so well. This is revealed in patriotic acts, such as hanging out the flag. This is logical if “government” is the correct terminology, but it is not. The bureaucracy/politician should be the slave/servant of the people, and hence, the people are not governed. So the terminology is honest as it is practiced.
But those that accept/understand the latter can at least absolve themselves from direct responsibility, which provides some solace.
Few people can “unlearn” such an indoctrination, some exceptions being those that come here.
The president should not be waltzed around in a huge stupid Saudi-Style beast of a bird. This is in itself a symbol of the effectiveness of the indoctrination. But it is like your football team, so many vicarious strokes from the ego starved sheep.

The major truth that humans must discover, Insipid, is the truth about themselves. We need to take off the blinkers and see ourselves as we are with all our glaring faults, flaws and foibles. Only then will we be able to change, perhaps move forward towards peace and harmony.
Ken, that some people come to this blog (or others that have a similar aim), is heartening. The problem is that it’s merely a drop in the bucket if major change is required in the thinking of the masses.
Perhaps it’s only if some major world problem occurs like a nuclear war or a total collapse in the world economy or a severe drought that brings starvation that the sheeple will leave their televisions and, looking bewildered, start to ask questions. That is the time to strike!

You can convert, and that is where it is like any other religion; they will let you convert for your power and connections and resources and tithing. Like the Catholics, you must be a “Cradle Catholic” – or born into it to be one of them. David, as Ken alluded to, one in perhaps one thousand people I’ve met in my own travels has the intrinsic strength of character to,

and I may be giving too much credit at that. That is what that story was all about. Showing that it’s in taking a proactive stance now, educating now, not waiting till they are dragging us off in chains, figuratively of really, that the time is right to “strike”.
All I’m insinuating is if we turn on our neighbors, no matter the geographic ethnicity, then they divide and conquer. It’s simple psychology. We don’t need to make this complicated. We need to take our World back from the neo-cons that have kept it from us for oh so long. We can’t do that if we are not focused on who the real enemy is. So we use the tools we have at our disposal to do just that… and that tool is the response sheeple give to peer pressure. That is the great tool they’ve used to get us into this horrendous predicament.

I’ve only one disagreement with you… from my own limited research, I believe there are three distinct jews: the zionists, with their hedonistic religion which resembles nothing taught by the Torah(these are the elitist scum I refer to); the average jew, who’s been settled on land not belonging to them, which includes most of the sheeple living west of Palestine(these are the jews by religion only); and the Palestinians who never left the Levant who were the only “Jews” by birth till the ashkenazi jews took the land after WW2.

Ashkenaz is a valley in Germany where many rich, elitist jews from Russia settled after the Czar kicked them out. Most of the religious jews were forced south over the Caucasus Mountains to settle in Georgia, which has Asia’s largest concentration of religious jews, while the elitist jews were welcomed by the Germans.

The commentor that says if your mother is jewish so are you, is wrong. If you mother tells everyone she is a jew it means your mother says she is a jew but like all dogmatic religions the label and the product/action/person typically have nothing in common if anything at all.

I thought you made some very excellent points. “Intelligence” will not be proven to be an evolutionary advantage if we exterminate ourselves with it!
As far as space travel, it would have to be a multi-generational space voyage akin to finding a specific grain of quartz on the largest beach in the world. So far, humanity has proven it can’t live together for multiple generations without killing each other. So far, the rest of the Universe is safe…
