Buy, Buy, Buy! Sigh, Sigh, Sigh!

frenzy

Friends,  it seems that the main purpose of Xmas both before and after is for the sheeple to get themselves into the stores and literally buy everything in sight. Of course this type of thinking also applies to the rest of the year as well!

Everywhere there are sales, shops opening 24 hours a day, specials, bargains, great buys, etc. It’s as if the only purpose  human beings have is consumerism, consumerism based upon one single purpose: to make the entrepreneurs rich and the wealthy shareholding institutions happy!

And if you can’t afford the sale items, or a house or a car, use credit! And if you can’t afford to pay back the monthly minimum payments, get more credit cards and use each one to pay back the others.

Surely it must be obvious to anyone whose brain has even the slightest capacity to think that such a system must bring about its own destruction. And of course that’s saying nothing about the damage to the planet that such crazed consumerism causes.

How did we get to such a stage in human evolution? Why, only a few centuries ago we lived simply in rural communities. We had little or no negative impact on the planet and were happy if there was food on the table. We have moved from this to becoming infinitely greedy and avaricious so much so that our planet is heating up and that is promising extreme weather events which are already beginning to be experienced across the world.

Friends, we cannot, I repeat, CANNOT continue along this path. The world can’t handle it and the capitalist system (which is based upon the false premise that everyone will continue to earn more and more) is doomed to self-destruct and is in fact doing that very thing. And greed diminishes us, turns us into little more than two-legged swine!

We humans have to realize that we cannot do whatever we want on this earth. We have to realize that we are being conned by the Capitalist Czars who care nothing for the planet or us. All they want is to accumulate obscene amounts of money so  that  they can buy items like $100,000 gold-plated bicycles (like the one featured in a post a little while ago) and castles and lavish motor yachts and…

So, if you can control yourself, don’t go out and Buy, Buy, Buy!

Or, when the bills come in, you’ll just Sigh, Sigh, Sigh!

And eventually kiss our planet Bye, Bye, Bye!

  1. It is really not about money. If that were so, why not stop at a $billion (lot of bicylces)? If you run over a billion, give it to a good cause, one based on decency. It is about the lust for power, an adiction, the game.

But just because you get a sales pitch on TV, do you have eto get it? Two way street. Stupidty.

Status quo frequently makes sense when it is overridden by greed, to the determent of most.

Suppose in 1680, when the gun appears as a weapon, they have a “Geneva Conference”, and outlaw any further weapons development; i.e., stick with the axe, chain ball, sword, and bow and arrow.

This only makes sense as otherwise it is a vicious circle; one side gets a new weapon and in an instant, the other side has the same. It tracks technological advances.

So instead, what do humans have? Well, this is just destiny taking its course.

“And eventually kiss our planet Bye, Bye, Bye!” There is no winnable war.

The fact that there is no winnable war doesn’t seem to occur to the warmongers, Ken! And like children playing with petrol and matches, one day…

How could we be so dumb?

  2. I can’t help but express disappointment that we the sheeple have lost control of ourselves. Truly, as Ken mentioned, loss of control of any instinct or emotion is an addiction that is dangerous.

However, it seems a dangerous assumption, given the current state of world affairs, that wars are meant to be “won” or “lost”. If the financiers of these “wars” are backing both sides then it seems to me a safer assumption would be that they don’t really care who wins, as long as they fight… they being you and I of course.

Also, living amongst the mayhem that is the US, I can’t find a single iota of capitalism in what they are doing to us. Capitalism is a social system that, in my opinion, is one of the few social systems that takes into account the fact that advances in most things during non-war times, are driven by the competition to make a better product than your competitor. Controlled, this system takes human nature into account like no other. Not perfect and certainly aspects of other successful systems could be incorporated, but I believe the last vestige of capitalism died when the first bush was elected with reagan to run his term in office.

Earlier in the eighties we made the final morph into a consumerism system. This was doomed to fail as it’s growth depends on the growth of the consumer base. With finite resources, that is just folly.

Then came the 1990′s. Our consumerism changed form, it took on a life of it’s own and the promise of gaining enough political power at the plebe level was a reality. Our next pres., a democrat, rode the internet boom which saw many tens of thousands of people get rich and many more find comfort within their class. His was a presidency of back-stabbing, elitist fascism puppetry built on what some would call sh*thouse luck.

Then, in 2001, the US Supreme Court stopped the recount in Florida where jeb bush is governor and had tens of thousands of legal voters for Gore illegally disqualified. Gw’s was an appointment making him a fascist puppet for the fascist elite parasites! His reign has been no less demonic, narcissistic or damaging to the world than was hitler’s.

No… I believe putting labels on sheeple, any sheeple (I know that’s a label, so sue me) any where, takes the focus away from the true enemy of the people…

It may have been once, Insipid, but now it’s more the case of, “Finding a cheaper product than your competitors then import and sell it with a 400-1,000% markup!”

“Fascist, elite parasites?” Surely you’re not talking about our exalted Masters, are you? Wash out your mouth immediately and pray for forgiveness!

Those camps are waiting, remember. :-)

  4. I still remember being alarmed when, I think it was in the 60′s, Madison Avenue gurus, and their protectors, started calling North Americans, “consumers”. David is so right about the end-all of this behavior noted in the photo, and I am in the middle of watching the great documentary, “The Story of Stuff”, consumption, pollution, and unsustainability, which you can find on line at conspiracyrealitytv.com and elsewhere, which adds details and statistics to what he said.

Wasn’t it freaky when Bush told us right after 9/11, to “go shopping”? Questions to DG, 1)why do you term the flock around Socrates in the picture at the side, “sheeple”; and 2) what is your definition of pseudo-intellectualism, number six under Major World Dangers you listed at the side. Thank you, and also thanks to insipid and Ken for their expressions above, and elsewhere.

Well, there he was, Swan, the great man, still trying to convince people of the worth of his philosophy and the search for truth while being forced to drink hemlock.

Pseudo-intellectualism is widely practiced in Universities. It involves appearing to be terribly clever when all you are terribly good at is rote-learning and conforming to the stolid system!

Universities should be leading our world towards a new tomorrow! Instead they follow along far behind.

    Cheers.

  5. Swan, I remember that speech and the hair standing up on the back of my neck as he said those words… but, remember that as soon as the Fed. Sup. Court appointed bush, Alan Greenspan started preparing us for the “impending crash” even though we were operating in the black at that time?

They hit us from all sides to desensitize us, keep us reeling from the fear they created and turn around and tell us it’s safe to fly. I can remember four years after Sept. 11, 2001, flying first class you’d get a steak knife. Weren’t the ‘suspected’ hijackers using but box knives?

And strangely enough, even after the ‘shoe-bomber’ was thwarted by his lack of planning to carry a lighter, and even though smoking had been banned on most flights, I believe you are still allowed two lighters and three books of matches.

That, my good sir, is my point. That is imperialism and bush is definitely a fascist and his family are fascists and have supported fascist regimes for decades.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. :D

What competitor? Big pharmy has an annual meeting to set the common plans. How many telecom companies in a given region? Usually one. Do Big Oil members coordinate? Yes.

On a strip mall there is a Wal-Mart and a Smiths. Are they competing? Have the same board room. All superficial. Really. In control. Dream deal for them.

  7. Remember what Bush said after 9/11 — he told people to “go shopping.” ahaha Such words of “wisdom.” I guess that is the cure-all, right? No wonder the world is in such bad shape. People depend on material things to make them happy. There’s more to life than materiality, buying “stuff,” watching sports, and keeping track of what Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and the rest are doing.
