I would like to propose two potential rule variations.<br /> Variation one: If on your move you could capture an opponents piece with a choice of 3 of your own pieces you would be allowed not only to take that piece from the board but to change the color of that piece to your own color and leave that piece exactly were it is.<br /> Variation number two: If there are over a certain number of your opponents pieces, say 5 or 7 or 9, that you could remove with at least 3 of your own pieces, as stated in variation number 1, then you could change the color of one of those pieces by writing it on a piece of paper and placing it face down next to the board. That would constitute your move. At any time later in the game as another move you could turn that piece of paper over and reveal that it was actually on of your pieces and not your opponents piece. (Btw, the system let him die too - they refused to treat his cancer unti it spread to his lymph and it was to late). He told me Vietnam was just one big weapons development lab.
