Friends, this is an interesting photograph, one from Reuters. It looks harmless but it can be viewed at many levels.
It shows Obama and McCain at a New York fundraiser for the Catholic Church warmly shaking hands (aren’t they enemies?). A beaming Cardinal is in attendance along with lots of rich, influential men in white ties. Given that 4 million dollars was raised for charity obviously there are no ordinary folk to be seen among the powerful glitterati (teachers, taxi drivers, plumbers, etc). I wonder why?
The photograph shows well-dressed representatives of the three main power groups in the world today: the religious, the political and the economic. They all appear to be happy being together. Perhaps they share a common interest, one that stretches well beyond just having a happy night with lots of good food and wine?
The truth is that, across the world, these three groups need each other to maintain or increase their respective grip on power, influence and wealth. They belong to a class that you and I have no access to. They live a lavish lifestyle that we can only read about in magazines.
The Cardinal lives in a palace. Look at how he’s dressed. He is a high-ranking member of a religion that, like many others, using fear and superstition, has incredible power over the lives of millions of people. His church, like many others, has enormous wealth, much of it extracted from the poor. Why then does it need to raise money for a charity?
The Business Tycoons, although they may be suffering a little at the moment because of their unregulated greed, have all the best things in life: luxury cars, yachts, mansion-type real estate in Europe and in Florida, money in Swiss Bank accounts, tax havens in the Bahamas, etc.
Politicians have moved from simply being representatives of the little people to being powerful demagogues who do the will of their party and who sell their souls to the highest bidders. There are whole political dynasties: the Clintons, the Bushes, etc, who, like royalty, have real control over the direction the nation moves in.
The three elite, separate groups intermingle, prop each other up, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, maintain the elitism and prestige that comes with their power and wealth. The Church favours politicians and political parties that support them, give them tax breaks, go along with their positions on abortion and contraception. The Business Tycoons favour Politicians and political parties which serve their financial interests, which lower taxes, which advocate free markets and low to non-existent regulation. And politicians favour Churches which urge their congregations to vote for them or for their party and they favour Business Tycoons who give generous political donations which help keep them in power and favourable press.
Friends, it’s an unholy trilogy. It’s an alliance based on class as well as corruption and deception. The few have it all and have no intention of changing it. It’s little different to the time when royalty ruled except that our current Masters are a little more subtle, slightly less obvious.
Hopefully you’ll look at the photograph with different eyes now. Perhaps you’ll ask yourself:
WHY HAVE WE ALLOWED SUCH A CORRUPT, ELITIST, UNFAIR SYSTEM TO GROW AND PROSPER? AND WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
It is a corrupt, elitist, and unfair system of the religious, economic, and political intermingling, indeed prospering and probably growing. I feel a headache coming on from thinking about how to answer the question you posed, that is why have we allowed this. What a photo you have presented! Not my kind of people, much less leadership.

I tend to believe that, given the amount of people and news that have predicted this economic meltdown at least one year in advance, with very much precision about the timing, that this was somehow scheduled.
The timing (not too early not too late) is just perfect, at the cut over between two presindencies.. heheheh wonder why..
Furthermore, there is a big confusion about the meltdown: economic and markets.. they are intermingled but they are not identical.. hence a big confusion… we were told economy was OK. well it wasn t. then we were told economy going bad that s why markets go bad. Wrong. Then we were told markets are bad that s why economy is bad. Wrong. Markets fluctuate vastly within days, that does not change balance sheets and economy’s pulse within days..
Dear Friends, our understanding of economy was vastly manipulated by the same disinformation gurus….

The Tycoons to not suffer the downturn. Small investors use shorts on stocks. BIG TYCOONS WHO KNEW THE GAME AHEAD use futures, option, .. and with the amount of margin they can afford huge leverage.. THEY MAKE MONEY ON MARKET CRASH.
No kidding. Let s say Mr Fuld. He knew his company was going down long time ahead.. Do you really believe he woke up one day and said.. m m m .. my bank’s financial statement turned sour yesterday night.. hence it is my duty to declare bankrupcy? NO NO NO.. THE BANKERS knew and orchestrated their companies well ahead.. in fact there are forums that prove that they were placing a lot of bets on the downturn of DOW.. ha ha ha

You wonder why Dollar is suddenly strong? Do not wonder and take advantage with the Tycoons.
Now nobody in the world except insane or ignorant individuals, have faith in the dollar. But.. Tycoons need to secure themselves.. so their shrunk items suddenly are bigger by the valuation of the dollars in comparison with euro and other currencies. Hence the big big baboons are buying now properties in Costa del sol, in Europe.. and in Asia..
Euro was 1.6 USD.. Ero is now 1.3something.. If you talk in tens of millions, changing 10.000.000 EUR now they are pocketing without effort around 3.000.000 aditional US which they can convert again in gold and other currencies as they please.

Adina,I have often suspected an alliance between the rich and the Media Barons. What an easy way to make money it would be to sell all your stock when the market is high then to use the media to spread news about coming stock market gloom and doom.
Then, when the markets have fallen heaps you simply buy in again and replace all your shares with those bought at fire-sale prices. Voila! Another few billion of wealth.
Perhaps they then donate generously to the Church and to their favourite politicians!
They may even pray along the lines of, “Father, thank you for filling the world full of suckers.”

Ver interesting conclusion about the relationship between the “rich” and the media barons. Today I discovered Jew Watch audios by Robert Weiner at http://www.jew-crime.com, and I highly recommend your reading at this site, Robert G, and all. I hope also that the Catholic cardinal in the photo, and Obama, take time to read, listen and view there. Of course, DC is already occupied by the Zionists, and some allege so is the Vatican. Swan, the new term ‘democratic capitalism’ as used by Bush has intrigued me. It should have been ‘democratic, faith-based capitalism!’

I agree, Jews are just people too. It is the support of murderous policies by Anyone that should be suspect. I think all these religions just divide people and make them doubt themselves, rendering them powerless. Religions commit sins against people everyday.
I read in a comment section that a Catholic priest in conservative stronghold Orange County, CA, is telling his flock it is a sin to vote for Obama! Many are choosing to not vote than dare to sin!
That Cardinal sat snug next to Mc Cain while Obama gave his humorous speech. I noticed that and was alarmed. I am a Big Proponent of separation of church and state. I even pursuaded my pastor to take down political signs on the church lawn. This is critical in a free society. He had come from an impoverished Poland, and fortunately he seemed to understand the potential.
I don’t have so much faith in the Vatican these days.
