God, being the creator of everything is beyond such designations. Everyone in this world is a servant and free will let’s us choose who we serve. If you serve your nation you serve it’s leaders and their flaws, if you serve God you serve truth regardless of it’s geopolitical position.

God is the creator we are the created, done. He is omnipotent so if he wants to change it is done. As far as evolving that is your religion not mine, I have no faith in such speculation. Evolution is a process of the soul not the body. These are subjects that should be discussed and debated in our schools, if schools were truly about free thought. It seems obvious to me that the turn away from the spiritual side of humans in schools and media is an effort to desensitize and create an animalistic consciousness for easier enslavement.

Well, David, Free will is canceled IPSO FACTO in the statements of God condoning Slavery and serving..

GOD even encourages the abandoning of slave’s Free Will, suggesting “democratically” that the slaves should abandon it for a “higher purpose”, as always (today it s antiterrorism, national integrity, this and that).. At that time is “His Grace”. Do He states that the slaves giving up free will to their earthly masters are only doing a great job in serving GOD’s WILL well.

Hi, sorry for the delayed response, just read all the posts and regarding:

my answer: this very question re: free will has been on my mind lately. I, personally am a combination of priveleged class of white – which seems to have more meaning than ever, and has never seemed more unfair; all this and a “nobody” both in the bigger sense and locally. If the choice were slave owner or slave, I would be closer to the category of slave. Yet I Do have free will. Which seems more economically based. The richer you are, the more “free will” you have. I do have free will to make personal decisions still.. Sometimes I feel like a bug in a glass. Or like that movie, The Truman Show, where the world is constructed and I am some innocent bystander who is also the Subject, unknowingly, of the “show” for somebody else’s profit. War? Go shopping! Thanks David, still working on the answer to that one.

I don’t like to suffer any more than my fellow humans, nor would I wish suffering upon anybody. I am convinced, however, that we Judge suffering, based on a narrow lense of understanding. The most painful experiences of my life were the most character crafting times of my life. Where suffering children are concerned, it is the moral imperative of all of us to help and be kind to suffering children. And of course war is the greatest breeder of suffering and should be abolished.
Once it occurred to me that if this were all a test to see how I would behave when the shite hit the fan. I would want to have faced whatever came my way with as much dignity as possible. Word for the day all. Peace.

Grace, all: I am seeking to find a meaning for my life. As anybody, I went trough highs and lows. Natural. I don t expect if any other way.But for a reason or another, I simply cannot believe that life is or should be suffering.
I also do not believe that “torturous” ways of “teaching” are the best.. although it certainly comforted me for a while to believe that I m simply learning a lesson or paying some karmic debt. which is fair.
I “coquete’”d for a while with the idea of Buddhism, and reincarnation, and life as lesson. For some reason I came to ask myself a question I never been able to answer: if my higher self knew what lessons my I, me, ego, Self needed to learn, why didn t my higher self simply get the lesson and skip the torture? Is my I, me , self such an idiot that I need suffering as a reminder not to forget the lesson while the higher self smiles to himself all knowingly but un-interfering?
I m not rejecting the beautiful and meaningful theories of eastern philosophy ( wrongly transformed by omnipresent opportunists in religions) at all.
I like those ideas a lot actually. And life would be wonderful if indeed Karma would work. I sometimes keep to it and disregard my own doubt that it may simply be wishful thinking.
But at times, the idea that some part of me (higher self) knows the answer but does not apply it and allows my lower self (ego, I , sinful me, whatever) misbehave and wonder for a lifetime in the whereabouts of all other fellow sinful sufferers, simply, doesn’t make any sense to me.
Somebody, anybody, pls help…

Adina, life has no absolute meaning. Our purpose, if you can call it that, is simply to procreate.
We can how make our life meaningful and that involves trying to make the world a better place for ourselves and others, not by believing in fairy tales or engaging in self-deception, but by seeking and accepting reality and truth while simultaneously trying to stifle and control our base instincts (which all humans have).
