  1. It’s wierd, there always was a right wing, gun-happy segment of society, even during the freest and most democratic moments in our history. What happened to “The American Way”? People became complacent, took the Democratic experiment for granted so quickly. People thought it was over with Nixon. I see know that some things never changed; fascists merely shrunk to the fringes. Now the fascists rule once again. And those peace-loving masses are on the fringes. They have even given us “free speech zones” which are literally cages, far from the matting crowd, where we can scream all we like. Oh people, we are the majority..how to slay this dragon? Kill them with love? Love is the greatest power in the Universe, non? Peace, G.

  2. Moi?! I guess that is the problem.. It also sounds like all the kids at the public pool where I just came from, David! I would be laughing if it weren’t so serious. After getting bullied because he is still learning to swim, my kid turned around and bullied someone else when he got the chance at the playground! A vicious cycle. One which makes me very unhappy. I am trying to heal all of the wounds I inherited from my own family and trying to bring up a good conscientious kid and it is not a simple thing in this world.

    Cheers!

  3. Trying to survive this world demands a great deal of us, Grace. Unfortunately we can’t totally protect our children.

After all, they leave us one day and then they, like us, have to survive on their own.

    Peace.

  4. David G.

“Grace, the real enemy lies within each one of us. Most humans are little better than ignorant, greedy savages!…”

You are correct but only half correct. Our destruction as a species lies within each of us but so does the possibility of survival.

We humans are a complex species. Our future is not written in stone. It is written in sand and can be washed away and re-written at any time.

I just hope that we have some good script writers out there somewhere who can create a winning script for us all….

  5. Have we ever been told to ask ourselves: why do I live? Do we ever have time to ask?

If your child were to ask you that,”what to live for”, what would you reply? Oh, just because life is a wonderful thing, my dear, believe me, I m the mom/dad, so I know better..?

What am I doing here? Perpetuate the species? Inertia? I m here so I may as well enjoy it? Make money and become “someone”? Live for God? …. any of us, do we have a truly meaningful and conscious self chosen reason to live, that we cant live without? I have a hard time to believe that we, the complex human species, have one. This may be the root of the problem.

The script was written, David F., we re the only animal with “Free will”, not entirely driven by genetic coding, but at liberty to create own additional lines….

    P.S. Grace,
unhappiness causes compensatory behavior. I had to teach myself to love the fat people. Although some Americans are ignorant, most of them are not. Americans have an intimate sense of the fact that something is wrong. That’s what causes the nation to drawn its sorrow in fat. Americans aren t stupid. They are purposely maintained ignorant through an external mechanism paradoxically called “education”.They are kept busy, worried, taxed, and “entertained”. They re just hiding their worries and sadness behind the fat.

  6. David and Adina, my view of the human race is rarely constant. What I see frightens me sometimes while, occasionally, I feel a tiny grain of optimism.

Except for the technology, little has changed in human behaviour during 10,000 years. Our evolution seems blocked.

    Cheers.
