It’s funny how, each morning, we awaken with a different mood. Of course, sometimes the difference is small but sometimes it’s large.
This morning I am filled with a sense of dread, of despair. I tried to watch the news but quickly turned it off before it added further to my blueness. I thought instead I might look for something beautiful to offer to you, something that might add a positive element to your day. And mine!
The above photo is the result of my search. It proves that, in a world filled to overflowing with human ugliness, there is beauty to be found, and, if you take the time to close the door on that which surrounds you, even rare moments of peace.
Namaste.

Peace and beauty are deceptive illusions and temporary at best. Even though the picture provides a moment of peace and beauty it hides the conflict between the various micro eco systems that are also present in the picture.
A person can look across a beautiful nightscape of a large city and feel a certain inner peace and miss that fact that down there in that large city there is domestic violence and any number of criminal and other despicable human activities going on.
I do not mention this to bust your bubble of tranquility but to say that we humans are a product of a dog eat dog evolutionary process that requires constant competition for resources.
Nature is not concerned with peace and beauty these are fantasies we humans cloak ourselves in to sugar coat our aggressive actions in the real game of survival.
However, there is a twist in this scenario. We humans have reached a point where our aggressive natures may well be our destruction. It is as if nature is set to change the rules. It is kind of like moving to a higher level in a video game where the challenges and rules have changed.
We had to be aggressive to survive to this stage but now we may have to change our approach to a more cooperative relationship with ourselves and nature or game over.
If we humans can make this transition to a higher level of existence then maybe we can experience true peace and beauty.

Great comment, David F.
Unfortunately, I think, because of nukes, our warring, acquisitive nature will bring us undone.
It only takes one madman or woman to start the ball rolling.

David G,
You are absolutely well founded in your skepticism as it relates to the future demise of the human species…… And very possibly all life on this planet…
However, was it Yogi Berra who said that it aint over till it’s over…….

Perhaps a world full of plants would truly be a peaceful place, Enigma.
It’s hard to imagine a plant designing and building a nuclear missile so it could destroy its environment. Cheers.
