Bush and the Neocons wanted to establish the "New Rome" and control the world. Pax Americana. Now that our country is $trillions in debt, our economy is failing, and the country is going down the tubes, we are offered bread and circuses - sound familiar? Bush is offering a $$ rebate to taxpayers (bread), Hollywood and Cable channels offer us circuses. We even have roman arena bloodbath in the form of extreme "sports" where young men beat each other half to death. The American Empire is faltering. May our descendents receive some sort of mercy. Recently, I questioned if most adults are really just large children all pretending that they are grown up, all playing a game in order to avoid reality ….

Until we are allowed to grow and amture emotionally as a society, as communities, as countries, as a race of beings….we are doomed.
